WAIORONGOMAI.
Woek in connection with the Te Aroha Sa nd G.M. Co. 's new plant is being pushed ahead as quickly as possible. Already seven of the Frne concentrators are in position in the old battery, and the erection of the other row of nine in the same building has commenced. Good progress is being made with the large (80ft) chimney stack for the smelter, adjacent to the tailings plant. We undei stand Mr Howell, the mining expert from America, has arrived in Auckland, under engagement to the Company, and may be expected to arrive at Waiorongotnai any day.
