LATEST FROM THAMES. THE GRAHAMSTOWN-KOPU RAILWAY. THAMES, Last Night.
The Borough Council appear disposed to assist in aiding the efforts of Mr E. F, lizard and others desirous of establishingrailway communication between Grahamstown and Kopu, as at the meeting of that body last night, the General Purposes Committee recommended that the traiu cars in the Borough shed be banded over 'at a nominal rent on proper security being given, and that the trains are run to «uit the convenience of the public. The recommendation of the committee was unanimously agreed to. The sale of furniture and effects of Mr C. W. Curtis, late of the Pacific Hotel, commenced to-day, and will be continued to-morrow. Very fair prices ; were realised.
