DUNEDIN EXHIBITION. Dunedin, October 27.
At a meeting ot the Exhibition Committee, it was decided to float a company with a capital of ClO,OOO, in one pound shares. A stiong directorate was foimed, Mr l> Harris Hastings being appointed secretaryOver £1500 were subscribed ior in the roomIt was decided that the question of melting, the Exhibition colonial or intercolonial should be left to a majority of the shareholders, but it it is intercolonial, £700 more were promised. Mr John Roberts (Murray, Roberts and Co.), President ot the Chamber of Commerce, was appomtedchairtnan. Those present included the city M.H.R.'a and representatives of the leading houses in the town, and were of opinion that now the matter has been taken up the Exhibition will take place ; and as a good many pi onuses have been received trom other provincial districts, its success, s>o far as exhibits are concerned, is an assured fact.
