Waiorongomai Cricket Club.
A meeting of the members of tlie above CriuUet Club was held at the Waiorongomai Hotel on Saturday evening last. Mr S. T. Srnardon presided, and thero were about tsvcnty members present: Minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. Upon the motion of Mr Ritchie, seconded by Mr Hunt, it was resolved that the coaching captains for the season be Messrs Beeson, Young, and Mace (senr). It wab then resolved on the motion of Mr Maisey, seconded by Mr Payne, that the working committee to carry out all arrangements of the club, be appointed as follows : — Messrs Mace, senr,, Young, Beeson, Smardon, and Hogan. A quorum to consist of three. It was resolved to hold a scratch match on the Government reserve on Saturday next (27th hist.), play to commence at two o'clock. The teams will be selected on the ground . A meeting of the working committee will be held in the evening, to consider matters in connection with the club Mr Hunt has kindly consented to give a portion of ground in his paddock to the club, should be found suitable. There aro now twenty-nine members i on the roll.
