IRISH AFFAIRS. THE INVINCIBLES AT WORK. PETITION AGAINST SEPARATION.
London, October 11. A revival of the Invincible conspiracy has been detected at Dublin.
London, October 10. A petition>signed by nearly the whole of the Dissenting ministers in Ireland, has been forwarded to the Marquis of Salisbury, praying that the union with England should be maintained. Lord Rosebery, speaking at Leeds, said that if Mr Gladstone obtained a majority in the House of Commons in favour of Home Rule he would stop the present coercion policy of the Government, and establish, if possible, a legislative body to deal with Irish affairs distinct from Imperial affairs.
