ChalHs has, repegged the surplus ground of the Mariposa recently thrown back into the goldfield, and has applied for a' 3o acre license, to be called the Mariposa Extended. A very old Waitekanri identity, Mr, Charles Forbes, died on Wednesday last, and the faneral took place at Ohinemuri Cemetery on Friday last. Deceased had. been in Waitekauri for several years', and was 74 years of age. Mr Geo. Gapes, of Waiorongomai, has successfully tendered for the painting of the Catholic Chapel, Paeroa, and the outside work of the Ohinemuri County Chambers.
