GOLD FROM NEW GUINEA.
A telegram from Kew Guinea, \ia Cooktown, dated 28th Augu=t, states that the Juanita party leturned to tSamarai dll veil, having procured 1420z of -plendid gold during the six weeks they were on Sudesb Island. Twenty-hve men are woiking there at present. A con&idei able quantity of pearlsheli, copia. and beche-de mer has been sent trom Samaiai during the la&i three months. The natives aie quiet.
