The owner, and three of his children were in the house at the time, his wife and two other cbildien being absent in Auckland. No one was injured, but sympathy is felt tor Young o\\ in^ to the iueb that he had. for years, been struggling to paj' off the balance ot the property to the building society, and just ao he had succeeded the place ha& been burned down.
