A DIVORCE CASE. Invercargill, August 20.

Tiik divorce case, Geo. Tucker v. Mary Tucker and Jas. Christie (co-respondent), waa heard. This was a petition by the husband for divorce on ground of the wife's adultery -with the co-respondent. Petitioner put in a number of affidavits by wav of documentary ovidence. The othor parties woro nob represented. George Tucker deposed that lie was married to respondent in 1874 and lived with her up to 1885, when sho deserted him. While he was at Rivcr'ron his wife went away with Christie. Hehad themarrested in Wellington onachargeof larconyand broughtback. They were acquitted on the charge of larceny, but respondent then admitted to witness that she lived with co-respondent. The last he heard of her was that she was living- in Napier with Christie. When she v\ ent away she took with her all witness was worth, some £300 or £400. She wrobe to witness, and he simply replied to tho effect that lie did not want any correspondence wibh her at all. His Honor granted a decrco nisi with costa against the co-re&pondent, ttyc petitioner abandoning his claim to damages.
