SHEARERS ON STRIKE. VIO LENT CONDUCT. Sydney, August 16.
Difficulties have arisen with the shearers on Brokong station, and they have severely maltreated the station hands. The place is reported to be in a state of siege, and the police are powoiloss to quell the disturbance. Two thousand lounds of ammunition have been sent up to the scene.
