V,i.\\ Au.ukma. —The manager y^fetcrda\ attemoon broke down what is known a-5a -5 Jobe's leader in the eastern £ topes, and. obtained the very satisfactory haul of 351b picked stone. Thi-s sfc-wie came to hand trom the leader neir its junction with another lode which has made itt> appearance, and which was at hrst believed to be the Success reef, although there iy now little doubt that it is a new body of quartz. The picked stone is of tail quality, and colouis of gold weie also seen ivcely distributed through the general dirt. The piObpccts of the mine have decidedly improved.
Cambria. — The excellent haul of 501b picked stone was secured when breaking down the hanging'w all leader in the leading stope over the intermediate level yesterday afternoon. There aie about three more stopes a\ailablo on this leader over this level, and the quartz which shows gold, freely, varies in thickness from 6 to 9 inches. The crosscut at No. 4 le\cl is still passing through very favourable sandstone, and a couple of weeks should see No. 7 leader in hand.
