(Before H. W. Northcroft, Esq., Warden.) The following amongst other applications were dealt with :—: — J. A. James, Silver Star, Whangamata. — Adjourned 9th inst, D. B. McDonald, Silver Crown, Marototo. — Adjourned 9fch inst. H. Butler, Whakamoehau, Marototo. —Granted. R. R. McGregor, Southern Cross, Marototo.— The Warden granted the application, and remarked that th| ground must be worked by as many men as could be profitably employed. If the full number could not be put on in accordance with the Regulations, then application should be made to him to work with a reduced number, as he simply desired that the ground should be prospected, and not held merely for speculative purposes. The license was granted. H. Butler, Fair Head, Marototo. — Granted. E. Simpson, protection to work the Martini-Henri and Musket licensed holdings at Marototo with four men in each case. — Granted.
