Tuamks, July 14. At a meeting of the Borough Council last night, the following 1 somewhat important report Mas presented by the (Jolclfields Committee re the Big rump:—" With a view to economy, and to give increased conlidence in the Board to the mining community, this Committee is oi opinion that the constitution oi the Thames Drainage Board should be altered and the number oi its members reduced to hve— \i7,. , two to be elected by the representatives of the mines within the drainage area, one to be nominated by the Thames County Council and one nominated by the Thames Borouah Council. The other member to be the member of tlie Houbeof Representatives for the time being, and that the Bi[> Pinup be acquired by the local bodies and held in trust." Tho report \va& adopted.
