BUTTER IN SYDNEY.
Sir Henry Parkos informed Mr M'Elhone in the Assembly that, he was nofc &\\ are that there was at present a butterine lac'ory at work in this colony making 1 butterine Irom tallow, which was being sold as butter ; that in England he believed there was a law in force under which persons belling butterine were compelled to lable and sell it as butterine and could be punished for celling it as butter ; and that under the Act 42, Vic, No. 14, any person selling bubberine as butter in this colony was liable to a iine of -£'20.
