SPECIAL MEETING.

The ordinary business being 1 concluded the Council held a special meeting to consider the new By-^aws. The Chairman read the special order for the .adoption of By-laws, Nos. 1, 2, and 3, in accordance with the Counties Act, 1886. By-law No. 1 deall with streets and roads, No. 2, slaughterhouses, and No. 3 refered to the removal of surveyors pegs. The Chairman moved the adoption of the By-laws to come into force on the Ist day of September. This was seconded by Cr Dearie and duly catriod. A copy of of these by-laws will be available for inspection during office hours from "Wednesday July 11, to Wednesday 15th August.
