AN ABSCONDER CAUGHT. ARREST OF A DEFAULTING BANK TELLER.
Nai'ijjr, June 21. Poii'i i,u, Lhc absconding Cambridge bank clerk, was arrested at i'ohui to-day. He had w ith liim a revolver and ammunition, but made no attempt to use the weapon a&ainst himself or others. His defalcations are said to amount to £110, commencing \sifch l"30 embez'/led last November, and ending with CIO taken on Friday afternoon. I'ortcr't wife resides hero, but ifc is stated that ho passed a^ an unmarried man at Cambridge, where he wa.s a great favourite with the ladies.
