A MYSTERIOUS DEATH.

Melbourne, June 8. The inquiry into the death of the woman Ellen McC-J rath,- housekeeper for Bernard Sheridan, a publican of Old Devenish, near Henalla, who was killed under suspicious circumstances, leading to the aire^t of the hitter, resulted in the jury returning a verdict of death from fracture of the skull, there being no evidence to implicate anyone. Sheridan stated that the woman fell from the vehicle. The police intend to take further proceedings againbt Sheridan.
