Good progress is being made with the drive being put in on the Galena reef ; and (he country being paased through is of a very kindly nature for gold. The works in progress in the Silver King part of the Company's property nro progressing satisfactorily ; the drives north and south being each in now a distance of about 50 feet. In I oth drives the reef is looking very kindly, is about 5 feet wide, and sulphides of silver are constantly seen when break'ng down. The whole of the stampers ftt the the battery arc running (ono shift) on quartz from the New Fiud (Maicey's stopes). The furnace and failings plant are kept constantly at work, as stated in our Ij.st report. Owing to (ho wet broken weather the past few day?, slow progress is being made by the contractors for the water lace extension.
