Ryan litcd a revolver at him, bub missed him. The constable foiled Ryan with his> handcuft>, and the latter then ran off. The constable followed, and, when brought to bay, Kyan tired set oral more shots, none ot Mhich took cftect. Eventually Kyan was captured atter a fierce struggle. Herbert) Wood, a resident of Carlfcon, was assaulted and robbed in Lafcrobe-stieel by tluec men, one of whom pointed a revolver at Wood's head and threatened to blow his bvains out of his head if lie made a noise. [A cable mcaKi^e published yesterday stated that l«yan hah been discharged from custody, and that the constable will probably be charged with perjury.]
