A YCHJNO woman, named D.ir^haul, was walking on mud flats in Rherton Havliour at low water, w hon she &ank in mud up to her waist ; her struggle made her sink dcepei, and she cried out tor help. Aid was fortunately forthcoming, but her rescue wa^ only cilecled \\ilh diHiculty, and not till she had got embedded to her armpits.
