Prices are uncertain at the following rates:— Fair to good ordinary, £34 to £35; superior parcels, £36 to £37 (according to quality) ; East Coast (nominal), £50 to £52. Supplies for the month of March, 373 tons. Coal and Firewood Market. — Coal ; Newcastle (ship's side), 22s to 26s per ton ; yard, 26s to 30s ; Bay of Islands, at mines, 13s ; at yards, 23s ; steam, 245 ; house-delivered, 28s; Waikato, Bs, 12s; at Auckland, 18s to 225 ; Taupiri, at mine, Bs, 12a ; at Auckland, steam, 17s 6d ; household, 255 ; Whangarei, at mine, 9s 6d ; yard (steam), 17s 6d ; household 23s ; delivered, 255. Firewood : Uncut at wharf (cargo), 6s 6d to 8s 6s per ton ; del livered, 10s to 12s ; out, 14s to 16s.
