The desire has been to combine r,ho various constitutions in ono Grand Lodsyo under the Grand .Mattel ship of his Excellency Lord Oarrm«*ton. In furtherance of this object his Royal liisjhhess the rrinco of Wales has appointed lAira Carrinjrton Di&trict Grand yui^tor of tlio English Constitution in this colony in the place of Dibtriob (.'rand ■Master Joiin William.-, who recently .returned, and ad\ iceb were received on I'uchi.v la-t io this ellect. It will be remcmbeied that a few weeks back Lord Oiinnsrton wa^ elected Grand Mastorof the "Now bouth Wales Constitution, and it is understood that there is a strong desiro ou tJie part of rlie Constitution to ta'nt) apnnilai eour.so. Should this be done, (^ in the event ot Lord Carrington accepting the .^evcial positions, the fusion of the whole emit into ono body will doubtless follow.
