Bernal, the Bandit, Killed.
Nooales, Arizona, January 6th. — Information of the killing of Eraclio Bernal, the famous Mexican bandit, has just been received. Bernal and a portion of hii bandit j gang had a desperate tight yesterday, near the town of Consala, in Sinaloa, with Mexican troops, during which the bandit chief was killed and his mother and three of his followers captured. The remains of Bernal were taken to Cosala, where they ar« at • present- The- captives were also taken to Cosala and lodged in gaol. • The fighc was short, but remarkably bloody and desperate. There is great excitement wherever news of the fight has reached. What the loss on -both sides was is not known, but it is supposed to be very heavy. Prominent Mexican officials- here say that when the news becomes generally known there will be great rejoicing . all over Mexico. Berrial hay been a terror to the people a great many ytftrs.
