-4— Thursday, Febnmry 9th, 1888. Before Messrs N. Kknny, and J. Ilott, J's. P. CITARtJE OF CATTLE STEALING; John McGeehan of Owharoa, and James Foley ofKati Knti, were charge \ on the information of Charles Franklin, of Waitawheta, with stealing a bull, his property, value £4- The case ngiinst Foley was not gone into, the police stating there was not sufficient evidence to warrant their proceeding with it, and accused was released' A largo number of witnesses were examined in the case against McGeehan, who was com mittcd to 'take his (rial at the Supreme Court in Maivh noxt; but was allowed out on bail, himself in £100 and two sureties of £50 each viz, David Kennedy of Owhuroa, and Denis Foley of Knti X iti.
