Pakroa, Feb. 6. I have just interviewed the manager of the Paospectors' mine, who says that where the new discovery was made the reef has beendriven upon a distance of 25 feet. It improves in size and quality as work isadvanced southward upon it, and theore in tho body is rich in gold' and silver. It is fully 2 feet wide in the' present face. A small small piece of stone broken out from tho hanging-wall sido ofthe lode, on Thursday last, by Mr Wick,, and assayed by Mr Rhodes last night, gaye 1 tho following extraordinary return :— Gold,, 2680zs 19dwts 8 grains; silver, 2,7690zs 9d\vts 16 grains. Value per ton, £1,524.
