The monthly meeting of the Paeroa Band of Hope was held m the Paeroa Public Hal! on Wednesday lstmst., conimertohigat 7 SO p.m., R&v. S. Lawry in the chaa*. J. Elliott ; song " Over Jordon," Miss Bnunley ; at tins stage m the proceedings Eev. S. Lawry then gave a very elloquent und earnest address, in which the evils of drink weie vividly depicted, and the t waste of money it involved, bhang] y emphasized.
