Sunday-School Fete.
The annual Sunday-school feast in connection with the Parish of St. Matthew's took place to-day in the Domain. The teachers and scholars belonging to St. Thomas's School proceeded to the rendezvous early in the day, leaving Union-street about 9 o'clock. Later in the day the teachers and scholars of St. Matthew's followed. About 12 o'clock somewhere near 100 little ones were sent off to the Domain by special arrangement with the Tramway Company. Half-an-hour afterwards the «lder scholars, attended by .the Rev. Mr Tebbs and the various teachers and officers of the school marched to the Domain. The procession presented a gay appearance, as nearly all the children carried particoloured bannerets, while the handsome banner belonging to the school was carried at the head of the procession. Arrived at the Domain, lunch was provided for about 350 scholars and friends, and the afternoon was spent in the usual way with games and foot races. Thames, this day.
Tho annual festivals of the whole of the Sunday schools are baking place to-day at Poxawai and Tararu. The weather is showery.
