During the week this district was visited by Mossr* 11. S. Myers and Sjiviir, M.[\ of Sydney, Now South Wale*. These gentlemen nre noting on behalf of a syndic <tj of Australian capitalists, who arc desirous ol! investing \\\ local mines should the prospects warrant such a conr-*o bi'inj; pursued. They uvula a very careful examination ol' several mines in thia locality, especially of Uio prospectors, which is said to bo under offer to them, nml if MrSenver , who is a mining expert of considerable- experience, recommends his friend* to complete the purchase, the introduction of capital for this and several of our other min-s is only a quos tion of a very brief period of time. The prospects of the Arizona claim continue to improve as tho reaf is driven upon southwards, and there is no doubt whatever that this property would pay handsomely for working, if there was a suitable process for ore redaction available. Some Canterbury men who are said to be interested in Mclsaa.-s claim were hero on a visit .a few days since, and they were highly pleased with the show in ths mine.
