Terrible Case of Vitriol Throwing.

A terriblo case of vitriol throwing occurred at Haverhill, Mass., on November 28th. The victim is Miss Mamie Mahon. She had refused several offers of marriage, and on the night in question some person, disguised, called at her residence and dashed a lot of the corrosine liquid into her face from a beer glass, fatally burning her. Her eyes were eaten' out and the flesh hung in shreds from her face. £1,000 had been offered for a clue to the perpetrator.
