The Papal Envoy.

A reception was 'given Mgr. Persico,' the Papal Envoy to Ireland^ at Conliffe College, Dublin, on Nov. 14th; and: an ad-

dress presented by the clergy and municipal authorities. The Envoy, in his speech of thanks said chat the occasion was a demonstration of loyalty and fidelity to the Papal See. The Pope strongly disapproves the lawlessness and political fanaticism of iKe people of Ireland, and has sent instructions to the clergy in reference to their future attitude regarding the relations between landlord and tenant.
