Te Main.
Information reached town to-day that a man named Edward Truscott had succeeded in unearthing a reef at Te Mata, in the neighbourhood of the recent discovery by Messrs Baker and Birch, from which good dish prospects of gold are obtainable. A few pieces of stuff have been brought into town as having come from the locality, and look very well. Tso work is proceeding in the prospectors' claim at the Gentle Annie, as the lease has not yet been granted.
