Mb Bryce, it in said, has satisfied himself that he has a strong case against Mr Hutchison for corrupt and illegal practices at the late election, and has determined to present a petition to have the election declared void. The petition will be presented on Friday morning. If successful, a fresh election will be necessary, as Mr Bryce will not claim the seat. Mr Fitzgerald, Crown Prosecutor here, and Mr H. Bell, of Wellington, have been retained in Mr Bryce*s interest.
