There was little doing in the betting market to-day. The latest quotations are :—: — Derby.— Abercorn, fielders take 11 to 10 ; Tranter has been backed for £2,000 afc 100's to 20. Cnp.— £1,000 has been accepted about Trident at 100 to 7; and £8,000 about Remus at 100 to 5 ; 100 to 6 (off). Algerian is ab sto 1 (tk). Silver Prince has been backed for £1,000 at 100's to 20 ; and Abercorn for £2,000 at 100's to 4. Oakleigh has shortened to 8 to 1, and Moteor to 11 to 1. The case against Mr H. Oxenham and his trainer in connection with the alleged pulling of Toronto at tho Moonee Valley races has been dismissed by the stewards for want of evidence.
