The Missionary Schooner Dayspring.
The missionary schooner Dayspi ing, Captain George Braibhwaite, arrived in Sydney yesterday from a cruise extending over five months among the mission stations in the New Hebrides. The vessel is last from Aneityum, whence she sailed on the ls>b inst. Captain Braithwaite reports that the natives of Tarma were at war when he called off the island, and as far as he could learn, six had been killed and a number wounded on one side. The mission work in the group was proceeding satisfactorily when the schooner left the islands. The animal meeting of the missionaries was held at Aneityum on May 28, and nio^t encouraging reports were received trom ,all quarters. Captain Eyre and the crew, nine all told, of the schooner Cairr.hu, which, it will be remembered, was totally wrecked at Malo in June last whilst on a voyage in connection with the mission work, have arrived by the Dayspring.
