The Anti- Bounties Demonstration < paraded the streets, headed by bands, , and with banners flying. One resolution, which was carried enthusiastically, was to the effect, "That thismeeting regard with indignation a fiscal syslem which permits foreign labour and foreign goods to destroy home industries, and pauperise theindustrial classes of the country." It was also resolved to request Lord Salisbury and Mr Goschen to receive a deputation appointed by themeeting.
