Reports continue to be received of fresh gold discoveries in different parts of the Waitoa district. It has been announced during the week that auriferous stuff has been obtained on the properties of Mr C. Gould and A. Several persons are out prospecting in the vicinity of Waitoa ami surrounding district, ami a Mr Paton, who is sajd to be the of a number of Auckland gentlemen has also been staying at the Waitoa hotel for some days past, on a similar errand, tlii? being his second visit. On tho Lark worthy estate two men are engaged almost constantly sinking shafts, etc, and on neaily every farm in the district search ia being made as to the quantity aud supposed value of the deposit thereon. But what all want to see is a few twenty ton parcels of average quality dirt treated.
