CORRESPONDENCE,

Under no circumstances is the Editor respofcible for the matter cotiUino.l in correspondence.

(TO TUB EDITOR. ) Sir, — In reading 1 your valuable issue of 3rd September ; I notice the following paragraph re KatiKuti : " Those who would have voted in favour of Mr Gr. Y. Stewart, had he arrived in the colony in time to contest the election, are now supporting Mr Gill." This statement Mr Editor is not correct, as I think at least half, and I am certain a great many of Mr G. Y. Stewarts warm supporters here (myself included; will do all in our power to have Mr Win. Kelly returned. By publishing the above you will oblige, — I am, etc. E. K. Gilbert. Sunnyside, Kati Kati, 9lh September, 1887.
