A NEW ROUTE DISCOVERED.

The Kimberley Goldfields.

Encouraging news has been received from the Kimberley goldfields. Tl)e reefs now yielding are about 100 and fresh ones are being opened daily. It is reported that gold has been found between Napier and the Leopold Ranges in a deep alluvial sinking O'Donnell, the explorer, has discovered a new and better route via Derby lo the goldfields, having found a pa^s through the Leopold Range near Mount Leake. The l'oute follows the high country and there are no bad river crossings. . A Government party has been sent out to inspect the new route for the erection of telegraph lines.
