MEETING OF CREDITORS.
On Thursday last, at the Court House, Te Aiolia, Mr J. S. Edgecumbe, deputy official assignee, presided .it a meeting of creditors in tlie estate- of Geo. C. Deveiell. The bankrupt's statement set forth that — He hud lately settled at Te Aroha havingcome fromKatiKati,\vherehe previously iesided as a fanner and carter, and it was at Kati Kati he contracted the bulk of his debts. Two years ago he leased a farm at Aongatete, Kati Kati, fiom W. H. Mandeno, comprising 240 acres, subject to a yearly rental of £70. In August, 1885, he Rave a bill of sak to a Mr R C. Fiaser, of Tuuranga, over his stock, receiving £80 in cash. In April k>t Mr Fiaser realised nndei that bill of sale, and he then left Kati Kati ami came to reside at Te Aiolm. Git'y, caipent. r, KitiLiti, 8> Gd ; W. Dib^efl, stoiekerper, Te Aroha, LIO ; Bradley and Co., coach piopiietors, L:i 10s; K. Pair, settle). L 5 7s :_ Maun and Co., merchants Tauiaima, La 5s ; D. J. Fi.iZei, iiomnonger, L 5 12b. Total, L75 8s 6d. The only fibsets were book, debts, estnuati-d to icalibe£ls ; and furniture valued at £4. It was decided b\ the creditors present to oitei no opposition to the bankrupt when lie applied lor his discharge.
