On Saturday last a special meeting of the Botud was held to consider Dr Wrights application, all members being present : The doctors letter having' boen again read, considerable discussion took place. The secretary said he was of opinion the appointment of a duly qualified medical man would be the means of bringing invalids to the bath's ; they could not however undertake at present to subsidise a doctor. The great point he attached to the appointment was that the doctor would be in a better position to communicate with other medical men in -New Zealand and Australia, etc., who would huve some confidence in. communicating with him with reference to patients they might wish to send to the baths. . Mr Lipscy said he oon.sidered it would be a great thing if something could be done to assist in keeping n properly qualified medical man inthejplace, and he hoped the people of Te Aroha were not so blind as not to see the great need of having a good doctor amongst them. , r .
