A Relative of Lord Bcaconsfield.
The death is announced from Leghorn of an old lady who was one of the few relatives of the late Lord Beaoonsfield. This is Mme. Sara de Rossi (neo Israeli-Tedeschi). Her mother was Rachel O'lsraeli, half-sister ef Isaac DTsraeli, and elder child of Benjamin D'lsraeli, grandfather of Lord Beaconsfield. Benjamin Disraeli was twice married, and his daughter Rachel wa« the offspring of the first marriage. The first Mrs Benjamin D'lsraeli was Rebecca Furrado, who was born in Portugal, and, together with her mother, had to flee from the clutches of the Inquisition. Her 'graAe and that of her mother, are still to be seen in the cemetery at Mileend, with the story of the escape inscribed on the tombstones. Lord Beaconßh'eld'B father was the offspring of the second marriage. Jt is curious to observe that the great Earl, in his introduction to his father's collected works, adopted the history of the Furrados as a family tradition of the D'lsraelis. Mme. de Ross was 90 years of age. She died in the faith of her fathers. — "Jewish Woild."
