The "Western Australian Government have received more encouraging infoimation from the Kimberley Goldfields. The newly discovered reefs exceed the expectations of the mo.->t sanguine. Twelve reefs are registered, and more will be logisteiul when the machinery nrmes. The population of the field now numbers 300, all of which are making a livelihood. The yield is becoming more extended every week. Ftom the Panton Rher workings to the Mount Uockrell workings the distance is one hundred miles, and there aiemnny intermediate moi kings. There is apparently an unlimited extent of auriferous countiy, and the ptospects are very good. Jackson's reef lias been struck in several places, and the ■whole line of the reef, a distance of a mile and a half, is now taken up. The majority of the claims are equal to Jackson's reef. Specimens surpassing anything yet found on the lield nave been discoveied at Mount Dockiell, and leefs have been found at Fan ton River with payable alluvial in the immediate vicinity. The 30oz. nugget was found eight or nine miles houth-wect of Mount Coghlan.
