A "Tiger" -Fighting Syndicate.
A curious commercial enterprise has been set on foot at Monte Carlo. According to a letter just received from there, a syndicate has been formed to fight the tiger on a .system. Clerks and markers are employed to play mechanically all day long at three roulette tables, exactly as directed. The system is said to have paid a profit of £SO,OOO in two months, and to have disturbed the administration by its continued success, Some of the visitors have been playing in excellent luck of late, and large winnings are reported. A young English coiiple, the husband being a lord> have just left with a profit of £1,000 over all expenses. They had only played for amu. ;• ment
