CABLEGRAMS. THE JUBILEE CELEBRATIONS IN LONDON.
London, June 22. The Jubilee display was the grandest ev*r known in the history of the city. The chief interest was centred in the service in Westminster Abbey, and there was an intense feeling of relief that it was not attended with any disaster. The route of procession was a most brilliant sight, and the demonstrations of loyalty from the vast tbronga assembled*,, have never be.en exceeded. Several accidents have been reported, caused piincipally by the tremendous crush of the cvowd. The Colonists stand afforded a splendid view of the
procession, but ninny were admilted who wem not Coloniiils. Illumination's were uiiivoisal, ami of a most gorgeous character ; some streets were a perlect blaze of "light; and electric light was I'reoly made use of, Tho celebration of tho Jubilee was attended by disorder in Ireland. In Dublin, Cork, and Belfast serious riots occurred, many people opposing the demonstrations, a;id the authorities were obliged r to use severe measures, ami in some cases serious injuries were inflicted on the rioters. A #rand review of troops to the number of 12,000 men takes place at Aldershot to-day. The proceedings will be witnessed by the Prince of Wales and various other royal princes now visiting England. Yesterday (Wednesday) morning the Queen received at Buckingham Palace a number of delegates, who presented various Jubilee gifts, includiug " The Women's Offering." in tho afternoon tho Queen proceeded to Winds >r, where she unveiled a bronze statue of herself, by Bocbin. '
London, June 23. In connection with the diplomatic notes fro cm Franco and Russia- to the Turkish Government, Russia hints that slio will adrancp on Erzerourn, or in the direction of the Euphrates Vallej, and Franfce declares that she will reaerre tho rights of ftee action in Syria and elsewhere.
