On the front of iho Baptist Tabernacle in Upper Queen iticct, were UieleLtciaV.il. fonncd out of ga^ JIU, with the wuuls "Jubilate !)^o'* beneath. Tlii-s design was executed by Mr Fostei. MeCaul\> plumbing woiL->, Wellc^luystreet East, were illuminated by a large ling light, ilanked by tv>o u'ee stars. Theie was also a row oi Japanese lanterns along the fionb parapet, and another over the top. The interior of tlie Free Public Library and Art Gallery was lighted up with gas in honour of the occasion. The building \\ as crowded \. ith \islto< - s. Two tran .patencies representing the Queen and the loyal ar.n^ weie placed over the "windows of Gram's Hotel, in Hobson -street. The outride of the building wad brilliantly liL. up 1>) small lamp-s. The roof of the A\fc Gallery was decorated m ith a number of Ilags. The into ior of the Young Christian As^oeiaLion building v.'as illuminated by gas. The residence of the Rev. ->Ir Tcbbs, in Wtillcsley-fftrcet, \< a, decorated with Chinese i lanterns, and the V.M.C.A, premises v.ere ! brightly lighted with gas. In Hobson-birect, y±r Abbot, grocer, displayed a tran&paiency and Chinese lanterns, and there was a row of gas jets in iront of Riordans block. Webbs music warehouse was brilliantly lighted. Mr Rendall, draper, di&played coloured lanterns, and Mr Robinson, cliemist, a crown and Y. R., Prince of Wales's feathers, and Chinese lanterns. Mr Keudal's fruit shop displayed ft transparency with the legend, " Long Live the Quean."
