Crushing operations for the Martha mine were resumed on Monday List, since when the fall force of the battery lms been running continuously on quartz from the company's mine, and the return should be up to the average. The prospecting shaft which is being sunk on the line of reef in the Union mine is now down to a depth of 40ft, but so far the solid country has not been encountered, and the water is very troublesome. In this mine the reel' throughout the whole of the workings is looking splendid and theie can be no doubt but there is a giaml tutun 1 in store for the owners of this property.
