MEETING OF CREDITORS.
A meeting of creditors in the bankrupt estate of Andrew Jamieson, miner, of Waiorongomai, was held at the Court House, To Aroha, on Thursday last. Mr J. S. Edgecumbe, Deputy Official Assignee, presiding. The following creditors were present : Messrs E. Gallagher, Geo. Graves. J. Soppett, A. A. Wallace, J. McL. Murraj, and N. Baskett. The debtor's sworn statement is as follows : My name is Andrew Janneson. lam a gold miner. I have resided at Waiorongomai four and a half years. 1 \ have worked partly at gold mining and partly at tramway work. For tho past nine months I have tributcd in the Waiorongomai claim ; my earnings not amounting to more than ten shillings per week. I have met with three accidents which disabled me from working for eighteen months out of the four and a half years ; this, with losses I have sustained whilst keeping a green grocer's ! shop at Waiorongomai is the cause of my present position. None of my creditors have pressed me up to the present time, but I am afraid of their doiug J so. My furniture is not worth more than £15. I have no other property but that which is slio.vn in my statement. I have no interests in arty mines; my life is not insurod. List of unsecured creditors : County Tramway C-., 10s G<! ; J. bankrupt's statement the liability with respect to (he house property does not exceed £2 Ids plus 12s fines, the Official Assignee be requested to obtain full information with respect to this matter from the mortgagees (Thames Building Society), and that by the payment of all dues to the said Building Society (provided same do not exceed £4), the mortgage be handed over to the Official Assignee for the benefit of the creditors. Resolved, on the motion of Mr Graves, That in the event of the house property being redeemed that the sale thereof be postponed for three months from date. Resolved, on the motion of Mr Wallace, That debtor be allowed to remain in the house as a tenant for three months on payment of a weekly rental of five shillings.
