In consequence of the decrease in the number of visitors which did away with the necessity for having two men in attendance at the baths, Mr Quinn proposed and Mr Wilson seconded, " That J. Stanley be employed during the winter months in working in the grounds, and that he relieve the caretaker at meal hours, icceiving for this additional service 3s per week extra." Carried. Mr George Wilson asked for leave to postpone until next monthly meeting the bringing forward of the motion standing in his name re " petitioning Government as to the necessity for having a medical practitioner appointed in connection with the baths and allowing the Board to apply a portion of its revenue towards subsidising him."
