KARANGAHAKE.
This week an agreement lias been signed by a considerable number cf persons consenting to the following deductions on the scale of fees charged for the treatment of ores at liailey's Mill, viz : For parcels of 50 tons and under 100 tons, 5 per cont, and for parcels of 100 tons and upwards, 10 per cent, which, when reduced to ordinary language, simply means that an allowance of Is Gd per ton will be made on 50 ton lots, and of 8s per ton in the case of 100 ton parcels. ing as work is coutinued upon it southwards. Attho Diamond mine a parcel comprising 1 about 28tonsof first class ore ia now to grass, and as the road to Uailcy's utill is not piaeticabie for dray traffic, it is very probable that this bluff will be sent to the Thames for treatment. Moore and party, tributers in the Kenilworth uiine, have about 25 tons of excellent sLone in their paddocks, and they are endeavouring to make arrangements fur its shipment to and disposal at some of the foreign markets.
