Pakroa, Fiiday. During the past week 105 applications were made to the County authorities from persons claiming to have their names placed upon the county roil ; and at the special committee meeting of the Council held in the Comity Chambers on Wednesday last it was revived to recommend that GS of the applicants be placed on the roll, and that the bonafldes of the other o7 were not such as to warrant the committee doing 1 anything 1 elso thsm to lecommend time their applications he dissallowed. M Grace will ag.un contest the seat because he has aheady expivs-ed his intention of doing so, and a committee has been formed heie to wuik in his iuterest.
